When did you start shooting competitively?
started shooting 3 gun competitively – about 8 years ago.

What are your top 3 favorite matches?
Rockcastle Pro/Am was one of my must shoot matches but now they are not around anymore. I also really loved shooting the 3 gun nation regional’s as well as nationals. I will have to go with Club matches. Club matches are where you can do the most for your sponsors. At a club match you can put products in the hands of the guys that will be buying them and hopefully save them some money, so they don’t buy things that they end up not liking.

Rifle– Ballistic Advantage 18” AR15, Burris optics 1-8 optic in a Warne X-SKEL Mount, Aim surplus BCG assembly and Aim surplus SSTAT trigger.

Bottom line, whether you’re shooting competitively or about to drop the hammer on an animal of a lifetime, you have to be 100% confident in the gear you’re running. Warne is the ONLY rings, mounts, bases that I have ever used that has not caused me one single issue.

  • Dillen Easley XSKEL & Skyline 3Gun, Long Range & Hunting

    Dillen's Bio

    Where do you live?
    Kansas City, Missouri

    Share your family life:
    Husband. Father of 3

What is your career background/What do you currently do and what is your favorite part about your job?
Licensed Chiropractic Physician in the state of Missouri, as well as the owner of a Medical Spa/Clinic. I’ve yet to work a day since opening in 2010 and get to help people every day I am at work.

    What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are mostly dominated by the shooting sports with 3-gun, USPSA, and long range shooting. Other hobbies include drawing, hunting, fishing, and just about anything outdoors.

    Are you a hunter?
Yes to hunting! Deer, turkey, dove, quail, rabbit, squirrel, geese, and ducks are all able to be hunted here. We have traveled to hunt prairie dogs and coyotes, but I would love to add elk, moose, bear, and more to that list as time and funds allow.

    What inspires you?
I’m lucky enough to be around patients and friends from all backgrounds and parts of the world, and I get to see the positive character traits that many different people show. Trying to draw inspiration from when people are their best is what I want, while also trying not to be like many people when they are not at their worst. .

Who is a hero of yours?
My father would be the closest thing I have to a hero. He was not a soldier, police officer, fire fighter, and he has never worked in a career that many think of as being filled with heros. He’s a farmer and a hunter. He’s honest and good to others. He maintains and cares for the land in both farming and hunting. One of the proudest moments as a child was hearing someone refer to him as simply “a good man”…so, I consider the bar to be set high.

How long have you been a part of the shooting community?
I’m not sure when we all actually become part of the shooting community, so I cannot give an exact date. I was 18 when I bought my first firearm to hunt with, but I was 11-12 years old when I first hunted with my father and could harvest my first deer. I was 21 when I bought my first handgun, 23 when I started carrying a handgun daily. I was 29 when I shot my first small competition.

When did you start shooting competitively?

I was 21 when I bought my first handgun, 23 when I started carrying a handgun daily. I was 29 when I shot my first small competition.

What are your top 3 favorite matches?
Vortex Shooters Source 3-Gun, Texas 3-Gun Championship, Generation III Gun

What is your favorite gear or go-to set ups:
3-Gun rifle– 34mm Warne X-Skel holding Vortex Razor Gen III 1-10x, Triggertech diamond pro curve trigger, ADM receivers and modified 17″ handguard, GA Precision / Bartlien 18″ barrel, Area419 Hellfire comp and arcalock rail. I add the Warne offset mount with Razor dot and Warne Skyline bipod (arca compatible) when the division rules allow.

3-Gun shotguns- Roth Performance modified Benelli M2 for tube fed, Dissident Arms KL12 with Vortex Razor 6MOA when division rules allow a box fed shotgun.

Pistol- Phoenix Trinity Honcho in 9mm and .40. Able to shoot with irons and optics, as well as various calibers.

LR Gas Gun- 34mm Warne Skyline MSR height mount with Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27x, Triggertech diamond pro curve trigger, ADM receivers and modified 17″ handguard, GA Precision / Bartlien 22″ barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, Area419 Hellfire comp and arcalock rail with Warne Skyline bipod.

LR Bolt Gun- 34mm Warne Skyline MSR height mount with Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27x, Triggertech diamond pro curve trigger, AICS AX chassis, 26″ Bartlein 6.5 Creedmoor barrel, Area 419 Hellfire comp, Warne Skyline bipod.

What Warne product do you use and what is your favorite Warne product(s)?
I have used the X-Skel mounts since 2015 or 2016, but my current favorites are within the Skyline set of products with the arca compatible bipod, MSR height mounts, and data card holder.

    Why Warne?
Several companies make reliable optic mounts. Few companies within the 2A community support multiple shooting sports and hunters like Warne does. The hardware is important and has to be good, but the software drives me to Warne.

  • Travis Gibson RAMP & XSKEL 3Gun-Long Range-Hunting

    Travis's Bio

    Where do you live?
    Emmett, Idaho

    Share your family life:
Married to the love of my life for 23 years in August and one son who’s way better than I deserve.

What is your career background/What do you currently do and what is your favorite part about your job?
My background is in heavy steel erection. I got to build a lot of really tall and really big buildings as a younger man…it’s a young man’s game for sure! I’m currently the VP at MGM Targets where I’ve been since 2004. I do a lot of day to day management stuff as well as product design and R and D. When we have large projects I usually go on those as well. Everything from Live Fire Shoot houses and Rappel Training/High Angle shooting towers to turning target systems and indoor ranges.

    What are your hobbies?
While I do like to shoot, I also love to fly fish, snowbike, and dirt bike ride. Pretty much anything outside.

    Are you a hunter?
I go hunting, but I wouldn’t say I’m a hunter. I like shooting too much. When you hunt, you only get to shoot once!

If so, what do you hunt and where?
When I do go hunting it’s usually in eastern or northern Idaho. A little bit of mule deer and elk.

    What inspires you?
I honestly have no idea what inspires me. I guess I’d have to say trying to make my family proud of me is pretty inspirational.

Who is a hero of yours?
Hero is a pretty big word…Not sure if I’ve really got a “hero”. To me that’s someone that has saved your life or someone’s life who you love. I don’t know anyone that’s done that.

I do have a couple of people that I really look up to however. The first one is my father Mike. Someone I strive to be like every day. Good in so many ways it’s hard to count. The part that makes it tough is it seems like I notice more stuff he’s doing right every day so I’m continually playing catch up!

Another guy I really looked up to was a guy named Michael Voigt. That name is probably familiar to anyone in the competitive shooting community. In addition to being USPSA president for 12 years, he gave a TON back to the shooting sports. Lots of people consider him a legend. I’m proud to say I considered him my friend and I think he did me as well.

How long have you been a part of the shooting community?
I’ve been a part of the shooting community for about 14 years.

When did you start shooting competitively?
    2006

What are your top 3 favorite matches?
Surefire multigun, Safariland multigun, and the MGM Ironman…even though the MGM Ironman is no more (insert shed tear emoji here).

What is your favorite gear or go-to set ups:
Rifle– RAMP mounts and SKEL mounts all the way. I use the RAMP mounts when I’m shooting open division so I can mount a red dot and when I’m shooting 2 gun division or limited division, I run a SKEL so I can mount offset iron sites. For gas guns, I really like the .223 and for bolt guns I like 6cm for competitions and the 6.5cm for hunting.

Shotgun-I really REALLY don’t like shooting shotguns so I try not to whenever possible. LOL!!

Pistol-I’m running 9mm almost exclusively for my comp and carry guns. I don’t know that I’ve got a lot of accessories for them. Sometimes I’ll shoot night matches and I’ll run a Surefire X400 light and green laser combo along with a Vortex Razor red dot. That’s a pretty solid set up right there!

What Warne product do you use and what is your favorite Warne product(s)?
The RAMP and SKEL mounts are on just about every long gun I own. Best mounts available on earth!!

    Why Warne?
Warne was one of my very first sponsors. Unlike a lot of guys out there, I actually used the product before I asked for sponsorship. Actually, I’d been using it for a couple of years and just asked if I could put the Warne logo on my jersey as they’d given me a deal on a couple of scopes. They said yes and it turned into a long lasting relationship!

Where can someone find or connect with you online?
I’m old so I’m just barely getting myself squared away on IG. My name is travtracgibson On FB, it’s just Travis Gibson. I don’t have a “shooter page” or anything. I have a hard enough time posting to two places!!

  • Wyatt Gibson RAMP & Skyline Bipod 3Gun-Long Range

    Wyatt's Bio

    Where do you live?
I live in the wonderful state of Idaho!

    Share your family life:
I am a bachelor living life to the fullest with my hobbies keeping me busy.

What is your career background/What do you currently do and what is your favorite part about your job?
I am currently working in the firearms industries as the Operations Manager for Switchview USA. We build adjustable throw levers for magnified optics. The best part of my job would be hearing testimonials on how our Switchview’s were able to help someone adjust their scope to the right power magnification quickly and easily on their dream hunt! #itsthelittlethings

    What are your hobbies?
My main hobby of course is 3 Gun Competitions, it has been a big part of life and still is. Outside of work and play you can find me Snow Biking in the winter, and FlyFishing and Golfing in the summer!

How long have you been a part of the shooting community?
I have been in the shooting community probably a lot longer than most people think. I shot my first pistol match when I was 6 years old and haven’t stopped since. After almost 15 years of shooting I have shot in a lot of different disciplines and I always come back to 3 gun. It is a difficult sport to play because you have to be proficient in 3 different guns rather than just one and that is what I enjoy most about the sport.

When did you start shooting competitively?
I shot my first USPSA pistol match in 2005.

What are your top 3 favorite matches?
My favorite matches would have to be the Surefire World Multigun Challenge, Wyoming Governor’s Cup.

What is your favorite gear or go-to set ups:
Rifle– Custom built Colt 5.56, Cole Component butt stock, Calvin Elite Timney Trigger, Ergo Grips, Warne RAMP Mount, Vortex Razor Gen III 1-10, Carbon Fiber Wrapped Proof Research Barrel and a Surefire compensator.

Shotgun– 12g Remington Versamax with a RCI Xrail!

Pistol– Custom built 2011 in chambered in 9mm. Based on an STI frame built by EMG Customs.

What Warne product do you use and what is your favorite Warne product(s)?
The products I use the most would be the 34mm Ramp mount and the Skyline bipods!

    Why Warne?
Warne Scope Mounts are the only mounts that I trust. As a competitive 3 gun shooter I travel a LOT and whether I like it or not gun cases get thrown around. Between Airport Security and the dog jumping all over the cases on road trips, guns have a trip of their own just to get to a competition. After all of that, during the match my rifle gets thrown in the dirt, mud, onto tables and dump boxes and still is able to hold zero! Warne has built a great quality mount that holds up in any condition, whether its competition, hunting or just a hobby.

  • Tate Mootes LR SKEL-Mt Tech-All of it! 3Gun-Long Range-Hunting

    Tate's Bio

    Where do you live?
    Albuquerque, New Mexico

    Share your family life:
am married to Danna and have two awesome kiddos, my oldest is my daughter Savannah and 14 months later came my son Tristin. We have four dogs and love the outdoors.

What is your career background/What do you currently do and what is your favorite part about your job?
I have dedicated my life to serving in law enforcement. I was local LE in my home town of Carlsbad, NM for the Sherriff’s Department and moved to federal LE when I started with the United States Border Patrol. Yes, I had to learn the Spanish language…Ha Ha Ha. I moved to the United States Department of Energy into a small Office responsible for our nation’s most critical weapon systems during the 9/11 time frame and hope to retire soon. I currently work in the Emergency Management field supporting my fellow agents from HQ. I love speaking to other agencies about our unique National Security Mission.

    Are you a hunter?
I am a hunter and have been on some amazing adventures. I find the challenge of the hunt exhilarating. The places I go to hunt are beautiful and majestic and I love to just take in those places. I live in NM where we have to draw hunts and it turns out I must have the worst luck at drawing tags as I have only drawn 12 tags in my 50 years. I have been thrilled to teach my son to hunt and take him on a few big game hunts, building great memories with him.

I have hunted and harvested a few very hard to get animals. I have a Rocky Mountain Bighorn and Dall sheep, a bull moose, an aoudad, a bull elk, a monster mule deer, a gemsbuck oryx, a wolf and wolverine.

If so, what do you hunt and where?
I have hunted my home state of NM, ID, TX, NE and AK.

    What inspires you?
I love the outdoors and am inspired by God, who created some amazing places and gave me the ability to seek adventure. I love learning and becoming friends with the great shooters, like Jimmy Clark Jr, Mike Voight, Terry Cross, Bruce Piatt, Jerry and many more. I have been amazed by them and learned from them, not only shooting, but how to be the kind of person I am.

Who is a hero of yours?
John Wayne of course, but then my Grandad was even better than John Wayne. I have more heroes than I can mention here, but the list includes men and women who sacrificed everything for our freedoms.

How long have you been a part of the shooting community?
I started shooting when I was just a little thing, a single digit wild little boy. I took hunter safety before I could read, my mom read the test for me. My dad had me shooting competition side matches before my double digits. I started shooting IPSC and 3-Gun side matches when I could barely hold the firearms up. I started shooting major matches after taking a 10-15 year break from shooting competition while getting my law enforcement career going. Because of what I’ve learned, I would love to break the fear of law enforcement shooting in local competition. I learned way more about shooting from competition than I ever did in LE training. I started shooting as a sponsored shooter around 2002 when Randy Luth saw something in me. I have been so honored to represent amazing companies and proudly wear their logos by my name.

When did you start shooting competitively?
As a very young boy, to be like my dad. I’d say that I really got into it when I had years and years of shooting training and experience from the law enforcement world. When I moved to Albuquerque, I was re-acquainted with Rod Current, who remembered me as the little boy running around the IPSC matches in Carlsbad. Rod introduced me to 3-gun major matches and I was hooked! I shot many thousands of rounds at work and even more when I left work and met Rod at the local range to train, almost every single day for a decade or two. We had so much fun and became such good friends. I learned more about shooting from that man than two agencies and thousands of dollars of shooting schools ever taught me. One of the best things I learned was to “Have Fun” and enjoy doing what I love.

One thing I have to say about what really got me started having fun was people taking the time to talk and shoot with me. I’d say one of the best things about shooting is the social or family experience, from the shooting industry to the great people shooting matches together. Some of my best experiences was chasing legends and when I finally beat them in matches, how they treated me. One of my greatest experiences was helping a young shooter work through his footwork on stages at a major match and then having his dad come up and tell me “thank you”, and then tell me that it is amazing to have one of the guys wearing the fancy shirts help someone during a match. It’s just part of being in a great community.

What are your top 3 favorite matches?
This is an extremely difficult question for me.
