Responsible for assembling parts and attaching components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges and other equipment to form complete units or sub-assemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or on the floor, placing finished products into point of sale packaging in accordance with production deadlines and sales goals under the general supervision of the Assembly Department Lead.  The work involves a wide variety of operations, with work cycles that are repetitive.


  • Check for proper fit or adjustment and make necessary adjustments
  • Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines.
  • Follows detailed assembly and packaging instructions, processes and procedures
  • Keeps accurate counts of products packaged
  • Verifies contents being packed, and adheres to appropriate type and size of pre-determined containers
  • Ensures that correct products are packaged appropriately and identified correctly on the outside of the packages
  • Performs inspections of product assemblies and packaged products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards
  • Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials
  • Provide hands on job function training to co-workers as needed
  • Operates the laser machine as needed
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate effective and efficient manufacturing functions
  • Reads work orders and identifies priorities in order to meet the production schedule
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines and company policies


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience performing the above duties within a production/manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills are required to print labels and calibrate printers based on label sizes
  • Must be able to use simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division) and read work orders
  • Ability to function effectively with repetitive and routine work
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Good written and oral communication skills preferred


  • Correctable vision and hearing
  • Ability to move through approximately 20,000 square foot building
  • Light physical effort required to frequently and repetitively lift or move lightweight parts and materials
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands’ and arms’ length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to exercise reasonable judgment
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
