Before Using the Scope Ring Calculator
Note this is a reference guide. Average tube thickness around objective glass has already been factored into the calculation. This calculator will work for most rifle and scope combinations. There may be other factors when determining scope ring height that this calculator cannot account for. If applicable, it’s also important to factor in rear sights if installed, scope covers, bolt clearance, cheek weld, adjustable objective bell over 4mm thickness, scope length and barrel slope, or modifications made to the rifle as these may require additional height. When the scope is installed it is important that no part of the scope touches the rifle.
How to use the Scope Ring Calculator
Input your Objective Diameter, Tube Diameter, and Base Height (Dovetail Height if applicable) then hit the "Calculate" button. Example if you have a 3-9x40mm scope with a one inch tube you would input 40 and select "mm" for the "Objective Diameter", then input 1 and select "in" for the "Tube Diameter", then for base height if using Warne bases enter one of the amounts shown based on what bases you are going to use and select "in". If you are not using Warne bases enter the height of the bases you are going to use. Hit the "Calculate" button and the result will be shown. Then you can use the result and select from the chart which Warne ring height will work for you.
